Join the growing ASM Chilltech team. We are recruiting a full-time Operations Manager to lead and support the delivery of HVAC and refrigeration service operations across Tullamarine, Cranbourne and surrounding areas.
The Role
ASM Chilltech is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team, overseeing day-to-day service operations and supporting the continued growth and performance of the business. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operational leader with a background in HVAC&R, mechanical services, facilities services or a related technical environment to take ownership of operational performance, service delivery and team effectiveness.
As Operations Manager, you will lead and support the Service Department and work closely with the Service Manager, Key Account Managers and administration teams. You will focus on improving utilisation and efficiency, coordinating labour and resources, managing customer performance requirements, and ensuring high standards of safety, quality and customer service are consistently achieved. You will also play an important role in driving continuous improvement across systems and processes, maintaining strong client relationships, supporting contract profitability and identifying opportunities to improve the way we deliver services.

What You Will Be Doing
- Lead the day-to-day operations of ASM Chilltech's Service Department, supporting efficient and effective service delivery
- Lead and support Key Account Managers, service and administration teams to achieve operational and business objectives
- Drive employee and business performance with a strong focus on utilisation, productivity and operational efficiency
- Support labour and resource allocation to ensure customer and operational requirements are met
- Monitor customer KPIs and SLAs and support the team in achieving contractual service requirements
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Monitor service WIP and support timely completion and close-out of works
- Provide regular operational reporting and monitor contract performance, profitability and service outcomes
- Identify and implement improvements across workflows, systems and operational processes
- Oversee effective use of scheduling and job management systems and maintain accurate operational records
- Support customer onboarding, systems integration and operational setup for new customers, vendors and employees
- Work with key stakeholders to resolve escalated operational and customer issues
- Support contract reviews and renewals with a focus on sustainable and profitable service delivery
- Identify development opportunities and support training and capability across the team
- Promote strong WHS practices and a proactive safety culture across operations
- Contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities to improve service delivery, customer retention and operational performance
Your Education, Experience and Skills
- Previous experience in an Operations Manager, Service Manager or similar leadership role within HVAC&R, mechanical services, facilities management or a related technical services environment
- Strong understanding of service operations, scheduling, resource planning and field service delivery
- Demonstrated experience leading and supporting operational and service teams
- Strong commercial understanding, including budgets, margins, WIP and contract performance
- Experience managing customer KPIs, SLAs and service delivery requirements
- Proven ability to drive operational efficiency, process improvement and team performance
- Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced service environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Sound understanding of WHS, environmental and compliance requirements
- Confident using job management, scheduling and operational reporting systems
- Relevant trade, technical, business or management qualifications will be highly regarded
