About the role

We’re seeking a National Workspace Solutions Manager to lead the strategic management of Transurban’s property portfolio and deliver innovative workspace solutions that enhance organisational effectiveness, optimise space utilisation, and support individual wellbeing and productivity.

Join our Facilities team in a hands-on leadership role that encompasses strategic property planning, lease administration, workspace design, and national program delivery. You’ll be responsible for shaping the future of our workspaces—ensuring they’re safe, fit-for-purpose, and aligned with business needs and employee experience.

As our National Workspace Solutions Manager, you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that support the way our people work and thrive. It’s meaningful, challenging, and exciting work.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Manage lease administration, compliance, renewals, and terminations across the national portfolio.

  • Lead strategic property planning using data-driven insights and stakeholder consultation.

  • Maintain strong relationships with landlords, property managers, and external experts.

  • Oversee the development and evolution of Transurban’s Workplace Accommodation Strategy and Design Framework.

  • Deliver a nationally consolidated program of workspace projects, including business case development, budgeting, procurement, and governance.

  • Lead a national team of outsourced project managers and project-funded resources.

  • Apply continuous improvement and automation to workspace solutions and processes.

  • Provide input on tenancy transitions, construction matters, and workspace design enhancements.

  • Identify and manage risks and obligations related to space management systems.

  • Keep abreast of industry trends and apply best practices to workplace design.

  • Promote safety and wellbeing across all workspace initiatives.

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

  • Extensive experience managing complex property portfolios and lease administration.

  • Proven success in space management and capital works delivery.

  • Strong strategic, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and diverse stakeholders.

  • High commercial acumen and continuous improvement mindset.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.

  • Experience in Facilities functions and familiarity with platforms such as Workday, Aconnex, Maximo, and DWG (preferred).

If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.

With a career at Transurban, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits, including:

  • A range of flexible working and leave options, including the option to purchase an additional six weeks of leave each year

  • 16 weeks paid parental leave (regardless of gender or carer status), with no waiting period, with Superannuation paid during unpaid leave as well

  • Learning and development opportunities to support your career interests

  • Health and wellbeing support—access to Headspace and our EAP program, wellness facilities, and more

  • Share offers and insurance benefits

  • Social activities, community give-back programs and paid volunteer days

We offer a range of flexible working and leave options, so you can balance your work and life commitments and interests. Have a conversation with us about how this could work for you.

We embrace diversity with a foundation of safety, wellbeing and inclusion; where everyone belongs. We treat everyone with fairness, consideration and respect, regardless of gender, gender identity, marital or family status, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, religious beliefs, cultural or socio-economic background, perspective, and experience – whether they work for us or not. We want to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe to express ideas, questions and concerns.

We strongly encourage applications from candidates of diverse backgrounds and lived experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people living with disability. What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
