Your New Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Midrange Engineer to join our Digital Modernisation Division, working in some of the most complex, multi-vendor tech environments, alongside a supportive and collaborative team.

This role requires extensive technical experience in server administration, virtualisation, database management, and hardware maintenance. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a commitment to continuous learning. If you are passionate about optimising server and database performance and thrive in a collaborative environment 

More specifically, it will include the following:

  • Windows server and Linux administration skills as well as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS
  • VMware virtualisation technologies and managing virtualised operating systems and enterprise-level backup products such as IBM TSM
  • Storage technologies, use and administration (desirable) as well as Infrastructure as code experience (highly favourable)
  • SOE development experience in one or more of Windows, Linux (RHEL) or Solaris
  • F5 load balancer administration and/or troubleshooting and creating technical documentation
  • Willingness to participate in an on call roster

What You’ll Bring to Make An Impact

You are a Midrange Engineer with delivery experience. You are experienced writing high quality technical documentation, proficient across multiple technology stacks and able to adapt to new requirements and problem sets.

  • You hold or are studying certifications such as RHCSA and Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
  • Your technical skills include server administration, virtualisation, database management, and hardware maintenance.
  • You are a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills and a dedication to continuous learning.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold a Baseline security clearance.
