Responsibilities
- Develop diverse engineering solutions for electronic, compute and power systems integration.
- Develop engineering documentation and ensure accurate configuration management of system hardware.
- Work with the project team to ensure the engineering scope is delivered within the cost and schedule constraints of the project, adhering to quality guidelines.
- Communicate and collaborate with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team, in a conscientious way.
Experience/Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ), or eligibility to obtain registraion.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
- Experience in mechanical systems design, integration and test.
- Experience with environmental testing, verification analysis and functional assessment of test equipment.
- Experience in writing technical reports and developing documentation related to systems integration.
- Proven experience in providing direction and/or delegating work effectively within engineering teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Desirable:
- Experience in the development of production drawings and instructions for assemblies and packaging solutions.
- Ability to develop packaging solutions for RF subsystems and electronics into larger communications systems and collaborate with mechanical and software teams.
- Knowledge of environmental exposure standards and test practices.
- Familiarity with satellite, radar, tactical communications, or tactical data link systems (e.g. Link 16, SATCOM).
- Exposure to defence standards and MIL-STD specifications.
- Experience within Defence or complex engineering project environments.
