  • Create detailed mechanical planning and align with other disciplines

  • Deliver scope with predictable quality, on time and within budget

Site Support Responsibilities

  • Create site installation instructions

  • Support installation and commissioning teams on site and remotely

  • Process as‑built documentation

About You

You are a Mechanical Project Engineer with a collaborative mindset, strong customer focus, and a drive for continuous improvement.

  • Preferred: CMSE, CE Marking, or other machine safety certification

  • Mechanical system design (conveyors, steelwork, platforms, guarding, MHE systems)

  • Strong 3D/2D CAD capability (AutoCAD, NAVIS, etc.)

  • Solid understanding of material handling systems

  • Ability to translate “as‑sold” concepts into detailed, integrated mechanical designs

  • Knowledge of engineering processes (baselines, mechanical requirements, procurement specifications)

  • Ability to support installation, commissioning, and site coordination

  • Familiarity with simulations, design checks, interface management, and clash detection

  • Clear, concise, and confident communicator

  • Structured, detail‑oriented, and analytically strong

  • Proactive, self‑driven, and effective working both independently and within global teams

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
