Join our team as a Material Controller and play a key role in driving operational excellence at our Northgate site!
We're seeking a highly organised and analytical professional to take ownership of our inventory control processes and production reporting. As a Material Controller, you will be the go-to expert in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our production operations, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that drive business results. Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Ensure daily production reporting is completed on time and accurately. With all production activities accurately recorded and tracked, from start to finish.
  • Oversee the accurate consumption and movement of materials, maintaining up-to-date inventory records to prevent stockouts and ensure accurate variance reporting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to achieve ongoing accuracy in materials issuing, and provide recommendations for adjustments to Bills of Materials (BOMs) to drive improved accuracy.
  • Establish and monitor variance reports, analyse results, and provide clear direction to site management on significant variances and their causes.
  • Reconcile and capture labour performance + provide various reports and variance analyses
  • Provide financial site performance reporting on yield and labour, and process invoices and manage payments in a timely manner.
  • Provide support for Production personnel in training for Shop Floor Control, and act as a point of contact for SFC issues that cannot be dealt with by Area Leaders.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement on the shop floor, and drive minimal variances through ongoing improvement of BOM accuracy.

  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Analytical with advanced data analysis skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite
  • Experienced in inventory management in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong time management skills
  • Motivated and results-driven
  • Eligibility to work in Australia or New Zealand
