As the Marketing & Events Specialist for Australia and New Zealand, you’ll help execute Axon’s regional marketing strategy through locally relevant events, campaigns, and communications. You’ll lead the planning and delivery of high-impact brand activations, adapt global programs for local relevance, and support Sales and Government Affairs with marketing that builds engagement, trust, and momentum across the region.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners including Product Marketing, Events, Creative, Sales, and Government Affairs. This role reports into the Marketing Director, Commonwealth, and calls for a proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented individual who can work independently and manage priorities with confidence.

  • Plan and execute events, activations, and local experiences across Australia and New Zealand, including trade shows, summits, and partner programs
  • Localize and deploy marketing assets, messaging, and social content for regional audiences
  • Build partnerships with customers, associations, and industry influencers to increase awareness and adoption of Axon
  • Partner with Sales and Government Affairs to support regional growth and relationship-building efforts
  • Track and manage lead capture, event ROI, and post-event follow-up
  • Track and report on event attendance, account engagement, and pipeline impact, including lifted and influenced pipeline generated through marketing activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consistency across regional initiatives
  • Support the launch of campaigns and GTM programs tailored to Australia and New Zealand market needs
  • Coordinate PR content, reputation management, media relations, and locally relevant case studies
  • Manage vendor coordination, project timelines, and cross-functional inputs
What You Bring
  • 2–4 years of experience in B2B or B2G (government) marketing, field marketing, or events
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
  • Native-level fluency in English
  • Experience managing external agencies (PR, Digital, CRM, Social Media)
  • Prior experience working with or in U.S.-based companies is a strong plus
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple projects independently
  • Excellent communication skills across teams, cultures, and time zones
  • Self-starter mindset — thrives in ambiguity and takes initiative without daily guidance
  • Passion for purpose-driven work in tech, public safety, or mission-aligned sectors

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
