Kick-start your marketing career in a role where no two days are the same.

Are you a recent marketing or communications graduate looking for an opportunity to put your creativity into action?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organised Marketing Assistant to join our Marketing & Communications team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain exposure across content creation, graphic design, digital marketing, event management, project management, employee engagement and campaign coordination.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Coordinator and collaborating with teams across the business, you'll have the opportunity to build practical marketing experience while contributing ideas and owning initiatives that bring our brand and employee initiatives to life.

What you'll be doing

This is a varied role with plenty of opportunity to learn. Your responsibilities are:

  • Become a master at Project Management. Plan, design and launch our school holiday (Vacation Care) marketing campaigns each term, while handling all program logistics.
  • Sourcing, scheduling, and booking fun excursions, on-site activities, and incursions for the children in their Vacation Care programs across 5 States.
  • Confidently make and take phone calls to coordinate with venues, vendors, and service providers to get your plans locked in.
  • Create engaging marketing collateral including flyers, timetables and EDMs.
  • Graphic design, copywriting and content development across digital and traditional channels.
  • Create content for newsletters, e-publications, EDM campaigns, employee intranet, our event advertising (including our Vacation Care programs), and our website.
  • Create employee engagement, recognition and retention initiatives.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of staff events, including our annual awards ceremony.
  • Contribute to our annual marketing calendar and broader marketing campaigns
  • Imagining and creating digital and video marketing initiatives, including promotional videos and training videos.
  • Working collaboratively within the marketing team of three and across the whole company.
What we're looking for

You'll have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A creative eye and an interest in graphic design and content creation.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines through exceptional organisational skills.
  • Confidence learning and using new digital platforms and marketing tools.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute ideas.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Mailchimp, WordPress, Google Suite and Excel will be highly regarded.

Why join us?

This isn't a role where you'll be stuck doing marketing admin all day.

You'll gain exposure to a broad range of marketing disciplines and have the opportunity to develop practical skills in campaigns, content creation, design, events, digital marketing and employee engagement.

You'll work alongside an experienced team, receive training and support, and have the opportunity to take ownership of projects. As a graduate, we know you’ll have things to learn. You’ll be joining a supportive team, ready to train a smart professional.

Ready to get started?

If you're creative, organised and excited to build a career in marketing, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now with your resume and a brief cover letter telling us why you'd be a great addition to our team.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
