Meet the Team

At Cisco, our Southern Region team leads the business across Victoria, ACT and Tasmania, spanning across Enterprise, Public Sector, Commercial, and Mid-Market segments. This is where strategy comes together at a state level, bringing sales, partners, and customer teams into one aligned approach.

The team works across functions to respond to changing customer needs and market conditions. It’s a visible, high-impact group with clear accountability for performance in one of Cisco’s most important markets.

Reporting to the Theatre Vice President and General Manager, you’ll join a leadership team that values different perspectives, encourages collaboration, and focuses on delivering outcomes.

Your Impact

This is a critical leadership role with accountability for Cisco’s business in Victoria. You’ll set direction and drive execution, aligning priorities into a clear, focused state plan. You’ll lead a multi-channel approach across a complex environment, strengthening pipeline, improving execution, and delivering consistent results. You’ll work closely with sales, partners, and go-to-market teams to ensure alignment and coordinated outcomes across the region.

As a senior leader for the state, you’ll represent Cisco externally and internally, engaging with customers, partners, and stakeholders at an executive level. You’ll contribute to the ANZ Senior Leadership Team, helping shape direction and align regional priorities with national goals.

You’ll also lead through change, supporting business transformation and evolving market conditions. This includes creating an environment where teams are clear on priorities, supported to perform, and able to do their best work.

If you’re looking to lead a major market, influence strategy, and deliver visible impact, this role offers that opportunity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading a state, regional, or similarly scoped business within a complex, matrixed organisation

  • Proven track record of leading business transformation and navigating market transitions in large, fast-changing environments

  • Experience driving multi-channel sales strategies across diverse customer segments and routes to market

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating as part of a senior leadership team

  • Data-driven approach to pipeline, renewals, and growth

  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels

  • Experience leading transformation initiatives, including AI or emerging technologies

  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or equivalent experience

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
