Venue Managers, Assistant Venue Managers & Duty Managers| Regional Queensland

Ready to take your pub career somewhere bigger?

Australian Venue Co. is looking for experienced Managers who are ready to swap the city for an exciting career opportunity in regional Queensland.

We have opportunities across Gladstone, Rockhampton, Clermont, Capella, Hervey Bay, Roma and Bundaberg and are looking for strong pub operators who are prepared to make a minimum 12-month commitment to their new community and venue.

If you've built your career in pubs, know how to lead a team, understand what makes a great local tick and are ready for your next challenge, we want to hear from you.

What's on offer?

Venue Managers

  • Competitive salary package
  • Opportunity to earn an annual KPI-based bonus of up to $44,000
  • Relocation assistance to help make the move
  • Temporary accommodation support where required and available
  • Sponsorship opportunities may be discussed with suitable candidates

Assistant Venue Managers

  • Opportunity to earn an annual KPI-based bonus of up to $5,000

Why go regional?

This isn't just about changing postcodes.

It's an opportunity to take on greater responsibility, build your leadership career and become part of venues that sit at the heart of their local communities, with practical support to help you make the move.

Whether you're looking to step up into your first Venue Manager role or you're an experienced operator looking for your next challenge, we'd like to start a conversation.

What we're looking for

We're specifically looking for experienced pub hospitality professionals.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Previous management or leadership experience within a pub-based hospitality environment
  • Strong operational knowledge across food, beverage and gaming environments, where applicable
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and retain venue teams
  • Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of venue performance and KPIs
  • A hands-on leadership style and willingness to be part of the local community
  • Current RSA, RSG, RMLV and relevant Approved Manager qualifications/tickets, as applicable to the role and location
  • The ability to relocate and commit to the regional location for a minimum of 12 months

Please note: these opportunities are designed for candidates with genuine pub operations experience. Traditional hotel/motel accommodation-management experience without a strong pub hospitality background is unlikely to meet the requirements of these roles.

Where could you go?

Opportunities may be available across:

Gladstone | Rockhampton | Clermont | Capella | Hervey Bay | Roma | Bundaberg

Not sure which location is right for you? That's fine. Apply and tell us which locations you'd be open to considering.

Make the move

You don't need to have every detail worked out before getting in touch.

If you've got the pub experience, the leadership capability and the appetite to spend at least 12 months building something in regional Queensland, apply now and start the conversation with our Talent Team.

Your next career move might be further from Brisbane — and bigger than you expected.

Relocation and temporary accommodation assistance are subject to individual circumstances, role requirements and availability. Bonus opportunities are KPI-based and subject to the applicable incentive plan. Sponsorship opportunities are subject to candidate eligibility, role requirements and applicable immigration requirements

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
