About the Role

The Business Services team supports our clients' success by adding value across every aspect of their business through strategic advisory and compliance services. Our advisers work closely with private businesses, family groups and high net worth individuals, helping them understand their business, navigate challenges and identify opportunities for growth. We are looking for a Manager to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality advisory and compliance services to a diverse client base. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced Partners and leaders, build trusted client relationships and contribute to the development of our people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients and develop strong, trusted relationships

  • Work closely with Partners and senior team members to deliver business advisory and taxation services

  • Contribute to strategic business discussions and provide practical commercial advice to clients

  • Review and manage the preparation of complex financial statements, consolidated financial statements and income tax returns

  • Provide technical tax advice across a range of areas, including Division 7A, CGT, GST and other taxation matters

  • Conduct reviews of tax compliance obligations, including income tax, FBT and GST requirements

  • Support the day-to-day management and workflow of client engagements

  • Coach, mentor and support the development of team members including both local and offshore

  • Assist with budgeting, planning and resource management across client engagements

  • Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes and contribute to business development activities

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience within a public practice or professional services accounting environment

  • CA or CPA qualification

  • Experience providing business advisory, accounting and taxation services to a diverse client base

  • Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to different audiences

  • Experience reviewing work, providing coaching and supporting the development of others

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

  • Sound knowledge of cloud accounting platforms, Microsoft Office applications and related technologies

  • A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute ideas and continuous improvement initiatives
