About the Role
We are seeking a Manger to join our Melbourne Indirect Tax team. This is an opportunity to be part of a high-caliber, advisory-led team that works closely with our Corporate Tax and Business Services practices to deliver commercially focused advice and practical solutions. Our client base is broad and sophisticated, spanning family groups, privately owned businesses, multinational organisations and listed companies across a range of industries.
You will work on a diverse mix of complex and interesting matters across GST, stamp duty and land tax, with the opportunity to contribute to strategic transactions, structuring projects, revenue authority interactions and day-to-day advisory work. You will join a collaborative and well-connected team environment where quality, technical excellence, professional growth and strong client relationships are highly valued.
Key responsibilities will include:
Deliver high-quality indirect tax advice and solutions across a diverse portfolio of client engagements
Develop and articulate technical positions on complex, emerging and commercially significant indirect tax issues
Prepare clear, client-ready advice, reports and other technical deliverables to a high professional standard
Contribute to business development by using client experience to identify areas to help a wider range of existing and external clients
Review work prepared by junior team members and contribute to their coaching, development and technical capability
Build trusted client relationships through responsive, high-quality service and confident participation in meetings and discussions
Contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture with a focus on collaboration, excellence and continuous improvement with strong support

About You
- Demonstrated experience in indirect tax or a similar advisory/technical consulting environment within professional services, law, government or industry
- Strong technical capability with the ability to interpret and apply legislation and guidance in a practical, commercial context
- Proven experience managing client relationships and leading the delivery of complex advisory work
- Experience supervising, reviewing and developing junior team member
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Law, or a combined Law/Business or Commerce degree
- Progress towards or completion of relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CA, CTA or equivalent) would be highly regarded
