The Project
The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising ACCIONA, MACA, and AECOM) has been selected to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion.
The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link. Works includes the construction of 14 kilometres of new lanes, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.
About The Opportunity
The Management Systems and Auditing Manager will facilitate and manage the establishment, and implementation of the Project wide management system and controls to successfully deliver the Project. They will provide training, support and auditing to ensure the continual suitability and compliance of systems, processes and practices across all functional areas.
Key Accountabilities
- Facilitate and manage the preparation and approval of the management system / governance framework across the Project.
- Manage the identification of Project specific requirements, ensuring adequate compliance within relevant Project documentation.
- Assist and support the HSQES Leads, Managers, and Project team, in the implementation of the management system framework.
- Provide Project wide training and support for the management system to ensure use and understanding.
- Review the continual suitability of process and practices across all functional areas. Undertake system surveillance and reviews to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain open and proactive communication and work collaboratively with the Client and all key Stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes on key requirements
- Provide support for records management and implementation of system tools.
- Lead and manage the development of an integrated internal audit program.
- Lead, manage, or participate in audits to assess compliance of systems and processes, including for Subcontractors, Suppliers and Consultants.
- Review and verify non-conformances, ensuring correct dispositions and closeout are achieved. Ensure compliance issues are resolved in an acceptable and timely manner.
- Provide support for the development of team members, through active participation in performance reviews, personal development opportunities, succession planning, and mentoring.
Required Skills and Competencies
- A relevant bachelor’s degree & possess the Lead Auditor Qualification
- Advanced knowledge of ISO9001 standards and requirements in support of major projects
- Highly experienced in leading internal and external audits
- A passionate and dedicated approach to continuous improvement
