Focus of the Role

The Managed Services Sales Senior Specialist will play an important role in achieving sales revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction targets in any assigned portfolio, or in support of the BDMs, Client Partners and Domain specialists

What You’ll Do

Telstra Enterprise - Business & Enterprise Sales Chapter Area helps businesses of all sizes meet their technology needs. The Secure Networks group forms part of TE Sales and Customer Success, providing trusted expertise across data networks, cybersecurity and managed services. 

As the Managed Services Sales Senior Specialist, your primary focus is to consult, propose and sell Managed Services-based outcomes across the following domains: 

  • Network 

  • Security 

  • Service Management (ITSM) 

Preference will be given to candidates based in Sydney, as this role involves regular client interaction and occasional on-site visits. 

Key Responsibilities 

Focus on identification and pursuit of opportunities/sales of multi-domain Managed Services solutions across the above technology areas across Telstra Enterprise. 

Provide pro-active thought leadership to customers, focusing on areas that are industry specific and based on technology trends, with the ability to relate this to how Telstra can assist the customer. 

Develop specialist knowledge and oversee execution of offers in market including internal/external interlock on allocated Managed Services offerings. 

Execution of internal initiative/s to generate pipeline such as, account planning, sales campaigns, sales enablement and training.

Trusted advisor to internal stakeholders including BDM’s, Client Partners and Pre-Sales on set Managed Services offerings 

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have the following skills/experiences: 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a target-driven sales environment with a strong track record of consistent performance. 

  • Experience in operating in environments that combine sales and revenue with a service and customer satisfaction focus 

  • Experience in conducting complex sales negotiations and finalising commercial deals 

  • Demonstrable ability to understand Managed Services across Network and Security technologies as well as Service Management and use this knowledge to build propositions that solve customers' challenges and business outcomes. 

  • Experience in selling end to end Managed Services which covers multi-domain customer outcomes. 

  • A Degree in any business related or ICT field would be an advantage 

  • Industry Certifications: ITIL, Cisco, Fortinet, or Palo Alto 

  • Sales Methodologies: Familiarity with Challenger Sales, Miller Heiman, or other leading approaches.
