Where the team fits in

This role sits within REA Group’s Financial Services business and Mortgage Choice’s Acquisition and Retention team. The team helps consumers connect with trusted mortgage brokers and supports personalised journeys from first enquiry through settlement, refinance and beyond.

This is a hands-on team, so the role requires ownership, initiative and the ability to work across campaign delivery, technology, content, data, and stakeholder management.

What the role is all about

This is a hands-on lifecycle marketing role with the opportunity to shape how Mortgage Choice stays connected with consumers, brokers and franchise teams. You will turn customer and broker needs into relevant, timely and measurable communications across the journey - from initial interest and lead nurture through to retention, refinance and reactivation.

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with the Lifecycle Marketing Manager to develop and deliver Mortgage Choice communications programs using HubSpot.
  • Partner with Group Office stakeholders and Brokers to understand their needs and create practical marketing solutions.
  • Collaborate with the News and Content team on articles and resources that grow engagement and visits to the Mortgage Choice news site.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of personalised email and lifecycle campaigns in HubSpot, from brief and audience selection through to QA, launch and reporting.
  • Build and maintain workflows, lists, segments, suppression rules, contact data and campaign settings for Group Office and brokers.
  • Develop clear, engaging customer and broker communications, including email copy, calls to action and supporting marketing materials.
  • Explore and experiment with AI tools and capabilities to streamline marketing execution, improve content workflows, and drive campaign efficiencies.
  • Translate Group Office and broker needs into practical campaigns, content and communications to boost HubSpot adoption and impact.
  • Support lead nurture, customer engagement, retention, refinance, reactivation and broker-connection journeys.
  • Coordinate stakeholder, legal and compliance reviews, approvals and pre-send checks.
  • Monitor performance, run tests, share insights, and recommend improvements to increase engagement and lead conversion.
  • Troubleshoot HubSpot, HTML, data, workflow, and deliverability issues.
  • Improve templates, documentation, processes and best practice, while supporting brokers with program queries, tickets, and HubSpot guidance.

Who we’re looking for

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, business, communications, or related discipline. Ideally, experience in financial services, lending, mortgage broking or a franchise network.
  • 3+ years’ experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, marketing automation, email marketing or communications.
  • Strong HubSpot expertise, including platform administration, CRM data management, automated nurture journeys, campaign setup, segmentation, workflows, QA, analytics, testing and reporting.
  • Proven capability in managing end-to-end campaign delivery from brief through build, QA, launch and post-campaign analysis.
  • An open mindset to AI and practical AI capability, with a curiosity and willingness to experiment with AI tools to continuously improve marketing output and operational performance.
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills combined with an understanding of the audience needs to create clear, engaging content.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data, reporting and testing to improve engagement, lead conversion and campaign performance.
  • Ability to work accurately through detailed operational processes while managing competing priorities and changing requirements under pressure.
  • Skill in troubleshooting HTML, data, workflow, and platform issues, escalating effectively when needed.
  • Experience building trusted relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including brokers, and communicating clearly across different audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and proactively identify what needs to happen next.
  • Resilience, curiosity, and a creative, solution-focused mindset, with a willingness to experiment and continuously improve.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
