About the role

As a Legal & AI Analyst, you will act as a subject matter expert supporting the development and improvement of AI solutions in the regulatory compliance market.

Key responsibilities

  • Work across Australian, UK and global regulatory environments

About you

You are likely a legally trained professional or a law graduate who is curious about the practical application of AI in legal and compliance environments.

You may come from legal practice, compliance, legal publishing, regtech, policy or research, and are looking to transition into a more future-focused role.

What you’ll bring

  • A law degree
  • Experience in legal, publishing, regulatory or compliance environments
  • Strong legal research skills using primary sources
  • Interest in or exposure to AI tools and emerging technologies

  • Background in legal publishing, governance, policy or software environments

Working arrangements

This role can be based in anywhere in Australia including Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra or Brisbane, with flexible hybrid working. Depending where you are located, the team operates with 1-2 days in the office and collaborates globally, so occasional out-of-hours meetings may be required.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
