You’ll collaborate with a high-performing team of creative, technical, and passionate thinkers who share your drive to craft extraordinary fan experiences. You’ll work directly with clients and cross-functional squads, championing clean, intuitive, world-class visual design that brings bold concepts to life.

Every day will bring new creative challenges:

  • Leading creative exploration and visual direction workshops, transforming insights into rich, compelling UI concepts.

  • Building high-fidelity interfaces across multiple squads, ensuring every interaction, layout, and pixel feels deliberate and effortless.

  • Evolving and maintaining design systems that scale across platforms and products.

  • Using data, fan behaviour, and accessibility principles to inform visual decisions that feel intuitive, inclusive, and delightful.

Beyond delivery, you’ll shape the visual direction of the business, spotting opportunities for innovation, elevating our design standards, and inspiring others to push creative boundaries.

What We Value

As a Lead UI Designer, you’ll bring deep expertise in visual design craft. You know how to partner closely with UX, Product, and Engineering teams, balance technical constraints, and communicate design rationale clearly and confidently.

We value designers who:

  • Own the visual design process end-to-end, from early concepting to polished final delivery.

  • Collaborate seamlessly across disciplines, elevating the overall product experience.

  • Champion creativity, pushing visual exploration and leading workshops that raise the bar.

  • Stay curious about technology, fans, design systems, and evolving design trends.

We’re looking for design leaders who make digital experiences not just functional, but beautiful, expressive, and emotionally resonant.

What You Bring
  • A Figma expert: mastery in high-fidelity UI design, interactive prototyping, and maintaining scalable design systems.

  • Deep knowledge of design system principles, component-based libraries, and scalable visual design frameworks.

  • Pixel-perfect visual craft with a strong understanding of layout, typography, motion, and responsive design across Web, iOS, and Android.

  • Working knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with engineers.

  • Experience with motion design or micro-interactions (nice to have).

  • Ability to lead UI direction across multiple squads, ensuring visual consistency and quality.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, presenting design decisions and visual strategy to clients and leadership with confidence.

  • Leadership experience, mentoring and inspiring designers while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Ready to Make an Impact?

If you’re a strategic, detail-obsessed Lead UI Designer who loves elevating digital experiences through exceptional visual design and you want to shape how millions of fans engage with the sports they love, this is your opportunity.

At Pulselive, your designs won’t just be seen, they’ll be felt, celebrated, and experienced by fans worldwide.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
