Your New Role
As Product Design Lead, you’ll lead a team of Product Designers and shape the design strategy across multiple products and member journeys. Working across Product, Engineering and broader stakeholder groups, you’ll elevate design quality, strengthen ways of working and ensure accessible, consistent and member-centred experiences are delivered at scale.
In this role, you’ll:
- Lead design strategy across products and journeys, aligning member needs with business and organisational priorities.
- Translate strategic objectives into clear design direction and deliverables across multiple teams.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of Product Designers.
- Establish and embed design principles, standards and best practices to improve quality and consistency.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, CX, Brand and business stakeholders to integrate design throughout the end-to-end delivery process.
- Improve design processes, workflows and systems, including the use of reusable patterns and scalable design practices.
- Champion accessible, compliant and member-centred design, ensuring outputs meet WCAG 2.1 AA and organisational standards.
What you’ll need:
- Significant experience in product design, UX/UI design or experience design.
- Proven experience leading design strategically across multiple products, journeys or teams.
- Strong people leadership capability, including coaching, development and design critique.
- Demonstrated success improving design quality and consistency at scale.
- Strong knowledge of user-centred, research-led design and design systems.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and partnering closely with Product and Engineering.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills, with experience in financial services or another regulated environment viewed favourably.
