If you're an Assistant Buyer, Category Assistant, Marketplace Coordinator or Junior Category Manager looking for your next step, this is a fantastic opportunity to build marketplace expertise within an ASX-listed business and make a real impact on what millions of customers see and shop every day!
In this role you'll be responsible for:

- Identifying growth opportunities and maintaining a strong pipeline of quality sellers
- Collaborating with Business Development Managers to onboard new sellers for your category
- Developing and executing category-focused Marketplace promotions to support KPIs
- Holding sellers accountable to service, compliance and operational SLAs
- Managing and improving the product assortment and merchandising across your category
- Reviewing seller performance data and taking action to optimise results
- Ensuring profitability targets and commission metrics are achieved
- Actively managing low-performing or non-compliant sellers off the marketplace
- Providing insights on demand, pricing, and competitive trends to support growth
- Contributing to process improvements and Marketplace operational efficiencies

- University Degree qualified in a relevant field (Business, Commerce, Marketing etc)
- Commercially savvy, with demonstrated experience and success within a commercial role, preferably within Category Management in a Retail or eCommerce environment
- Highly analytical and logical, and always looking for new areas of opportunity
- Able to develop strong relationships, through excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Have developed exceptional time management skills, being able to effectively manage multiple projects and timelines successfully

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene
Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
