Jetstar’s Operations Delivery team are nothing less than the nerve centre of our airline. All of our team members within our Operations Delivery team play a critical role in managing the logistics, compliance and safety relating to daily movements of our aircraft, team members and passengers.

As a JOCC Operations Controller you will be responsible for coordinating network operations. You will maintain a central safety focus, balancing cost, customer and commercial outcomes, whilst ensuring the requirements of key stakeholders are not compromised. You will work to deliver network operations to schedule, anticipate and proactively respond to foreseeable network disruption with a ‘preventative’ approach and immediately triage and respond to unforeseeable network disruption.  

Reporting to the Operations Duty Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Provide timely and accurate information and effectively communicate this across JOCC stakeholders.
  • Monitor aircraft movements, maintaining schedule integrity around on-time performance across AU/NZ domestic and international networks
  • Co-ordinate with Maintenance Operations regarding maintenance implications from off-schedule operations
  • Effectively co-ordinate operational requirements during disruptions while maintaining regular communication with downline ports.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all people, assets, systems and procedures engaged in or associated with the airline through compliance with Jetstar policy & procedures
  • Effectively communicate with the Customer Recovery Team regarding customer recovery and customer flow during periods of disruption

Ready for your next adventure?  We’re Searching For Someone Who:

  • Bachelor’s Degree qualification in Aviation / Engineering Management (advantageous)
  • Minimum +2 years’ experience, knowledge and understanding of airline operations
  • An understanding of relevant aviation legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver in demanding, time-sensitive environments
  • Resilience with the ability to cope well under pressure
  • Is motivated and demonstrates a proactive approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to influence at all levels
  • A high degree of attention to detail
  • Intermediate or above proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and Word
