Technology Support Specialist- Full time position

About the role:

IDX have a team of qualified IT professionals to support its business and staff across Australia and New Zealand. We are looking for an Technology Support Specialist to join our team based in our VIC region to provide follow the technical sun support.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and to bring your expertise to help shape the future of IT support within IDX.

Your primary responsibilities will be providing IT Service Desk and onsite support services to our Radiologists, Technologists and Administration staff. You will frequently be collaborating with other IT professionals within IDX on other IT related projects and initiatives.

While the role is primarily that of IT Level 1 to Level 2 helpdesk support, as well as an onsite field technician support, we are looking for someone who will be able to expand their skill set to learn and support our clinical reporting applications and to participate in special projects with the prospect of taking on future roles. This will be your chance to make a real impact with our new team as part of IDX's IT support strategy.

About you:

We are looking for a dedicated, reliable, and highly motivated support professional. You should have a good understanding of ITIL, record keeping and documentation practices, excellent organisation skills to effectively prioritise time sensitive tasks, and be able to translate technical details into everyday language. IDX has a highly collaborative environment, where the team relies on a strong communication ethic to provide the best customer support experience to our staff, so your communication skills will play a key role in your performance.

You will also be familiar with:

  • PC (Windows), and mobile (Android, iOS) environments
  • Microsoft products such as Windows 10, Office 365, Windows Servers and Active Directory
  • Linux, Ubuntu, VMware, Cisco and relative corporate level technologies (desirable)
  • Remote support experience (including phone support)
  • Field Technician experience
  • Helpdesk ticketing software knowledge
  • ITIL best practice
  • Radiology applications such as RIS and PACS skills are (highly desirable)
  • Have knowledge and experience with the latest security trends and practices

This role is well suited to a good problem solver, which has the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of business, with a passion for helping people through great customer service, and who is looking for an organisation where they can grow their skills to further their career. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a competitive base salary of $80,000 - $85,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
