What We Are Looking For: 

The IT Operations Administrator is responsible for supporting Airlock Digital’s internal technology operations and ensuring employees have the equipment, access, systems, and support they need to work effectively and securely. The role covers user account management, onboarding and offboarding, laptop provisioning and logistics, access management, SaaS administration, internal support requests, documentation, and general IT process improvement. 

Key Responsibilities:

IT Support & Employee Enablement: 

  • Act as a first point of contact for internal IT support requests. 
  • Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve general IT issues relating to accounts, devices, applications, collaboration tools, connectivity, permissions, and user access. 
  • Support staff with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Office applications, and other internal business systems. 
  • Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate internal or external specialists when required. 
  • Maintain clear communication with staff regarding support requests, expected timeframes, and resolution steps. 

User Lifecycle & Access Management: 

  • Create, update, disable, and remove user accounts as part of employee onboarding, role changes, and offboarding. 
  • Manage access to internal systems, SaaS platforms, groups, distribution lists, shared mailboxes, and collaboration spaces. 
  • Ensure user access is granted according to business need, least-privilege principles, and approved processes. 
  • Assist with periodic access reviews and maintain accurate records of user access. 
  • Work with People, Finance, Security, and Technology teams to ensure joiner, mover, and leaver processes are completed accurately and on time. 

Endpoint, Laptop & Asset Management: 

  • Prepare, configure, and issue laptops and other equipment for new starters. 
  • Coordinate shipping, return, repair, replacement, and disposal of laptops and IT equipment. 
  • Maintain accurate asset records, including assigned devices, serial numbers, warranty details, and lifecycle status. 
  • Support endpoint management activities such as device configuration, patching, encryption, antivirus/security tooling, and compliance checks. 
  • Assist with hardware procurement, stock management, and vendor coordination. 

Internal Systems Administration: 

  • Administer internal technology platforms used by Airlock Digital, including Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and other business systems. 
  • Manage licences, groups, permissions, shared resources, and basic configuration changes. 
  • Support integrations and operational workflows between internal systems where required. 
  • Assist with maintaining reliable, secure, and well-documented internal technology processes. 

 Documentation & Process Improvement: 

  • Create and maintain IT documentation, including onboarding checklists, offboarding checklists, support guides, asset management procedures, and access management processes. 
  • Identify recurring support issues and recommend improvements to reduce manual effort or prevent repeat problems. 
  • Help improve internal IT workflows, ticket handling, documentation quality, and operational consistency. 
  • Contribute to internal technology projects that improve employee experience, security, or operational efficiency. 

 Security & Compliance Support: 

  • Follow Airlock Digital’s security policies and support secure handling of company and customer information. 
  • Assist with security-related IT tasks such as MFA enforcement, access reviews, endpoint compliance, account disablement, and user access auditing. 
  • Report suspected security incidents, access anomalies, or process failures to the appropriate team. 
  • Support compliance activities by maintaining accurate records and evidence for IT processes where required. 
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 2+ years’ experience in an IT support, IT operations, service desk, systems administration, or similar role. 
  • Practical experience administering Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, and Office applications. 
  • Experience managing user accounts, groups, permissions, licences, MFA, and access controls. 
  • Familiarity with Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID or similar identity management platforms. 
  • Experience provisioning, configuring, supporting, and shipping laptops or end-user devices. 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows endpoints, user applications, accounts, access, networking basics, and common business systems. 
  • Understanding of onboarding, offboarding, asset management, and access management processes. 
  • Ability to follow process carefully while identifying opportunities to improve it. 
  • Strong written documentation skills. 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to support technical and non-technical users. 
  • High attention to detail, especially when handling access, accounts, devices, and employee lifecycle tasks.
  • Ability to manage competing support requests and operational priorities.

Desirable Skills & Experience 

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Defender for Endpoint, or other endpoint management tools. 
  • Experience with PowerShell or other scripting for simple automation. 
  • Experience using ticketing or IT service management tools. 
  • Experience supporting a SaaS, software, cybersecurity, or technology business. 
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and TCP/IP. 
  • Experience with hardware procurement, vendor coordination, courier logistics, and asset lifecycle management. 
  • Exposure to security frameworks, audit evidence collection, or compliance-driven environments. 
  • Basic macOS support experience, if applicable to Airlock Digital’s environment. 

Formal qualifications are not required. Relevant certifications may be beneficial, such as: 

  • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals 
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals 
  • Microsoft Endpoint Administrator 
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ 
  • ITIL Foundation
