As we continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate and strategic Industry Lead for Retail to join our APJ Go-To-Market (GTM) team.


About The Role:

As the Industry Lead - Retail, you will be at the forefront of revolutionising retail operations using monday.com’s Work OS platform. You will collaborate closely with the local GTM Team, field Sales teams, industry partners, and prospective and existing clients to drive new business and expand our footprint in the retail sector. Your role will involve shaping and executing strategies tailored to retail needs, leveraging your deep industry expertise and contacts to deliver innovative solutions and insights.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Strategic Account Development: Engage directly with strategic retail accounts to formulate and execute account strategies, cultivate trusted relationships, and present monday.com’s vision for the retail industry to C-level executives.
  • Ecosystem Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with key players in the retail ecosystem, including customers, partners, and industry influencers, to strengthen monday.com’s presence and influence in the market.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with the APJ GTM team and marketing teams to refine, develop and implement a cohesive go-to-market strategy for the retail sector, ensuring alignment with broader organisational goals.
  • Enablement and Training: Develop and execute an enablement strategy to foster a deep understanding of the retail industry within the organization. This includes creating and leading “industry communities of practice” to share insights and best practices.
  • Product Development Collaboration: Work closely with APJ GTM industry team to prioritise and advocate for retail-specific features and enhancements in future product roadmaps, ensuring that monday.com’s solutions address the unique needs of the retail industry.
  • Marketing and Awareness: Partner with marketing teams to drive awareness, generate demand, and build a robust pipeline for monday.com’s retail solutions through targeted campaigns and thought leadership.
  • Sales Enablement: Oversee the creation of sales plays and solutions, and provide training and support to sales teams, sales engineers, and customer success teams to enhance their ability to effectively engage and support retail clients.
  • Partnership Management: Collaborate with partner and alliance teams to identify, recruit, and enable industry-specific system integrators and ISVs, enhancing monday.com’s partner ecosystem within the retail sector.

Requirements

  • Industry Experience: 7+ years of experience in SaaS sales, including roles in sales, consulting, or technology implementation. With at least 5+ years in an Enterprise sales closing role. Demonstrated success in managing and growing complex accounts and portfolios.
  • Retail Expertise: Deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the retail sector, with a proven track record of applying this knowledge to drive business outcomes. A proven list of Retail relationships.
  • Technology Savvy: Experience with data management, analytics, cloud solutions, or business intelligence technologies is highly desirable. Familiarity with monday.com or similar Work OS platforms is a plus.
  • C-Level Engagement: Experience and a proven list of Retail relationships, working directly with C-level executives and a strong ability to establish credibility and influence senior leadership.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel as needed to engage with clients and partners across different regions.
