Reporting to the Head of Business Partnering, a HR Business Partner at SEEK will be part of a fast-paced and supportive environment where change is constant and you can make a real difference. You'll work on complex challenges that have a direct impact on people's lives, helping us evolve our business and reach new heights.
This role partners closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) as a coach, advisor, and sounding board. You'll strengthen collaboration and relationships across the organisation as we evolve our APAC ways of working. A deep understanding of the business is essential and will inform your approach to people planning. This role will influence how the People & Culture team operates and continuously improves how we enable the broader business.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership - Partner with senior leadership to understand business objectives and translate them into effective HR initiatives.
- Talent Management - Execute talent and succession planning initiatives and develop career development frameworks to build organisational capability.
- Performance Management - Guide managers in performance processes and coach leaders on difficult conversations and managing underperformance.
- Ways of Working - Drive cross-functional coordination to ensure consistent P&C service delivery while enhancing team collaboration and operational excellence across APAC markets.
- Employee Relations - Serve as primary contact for complex employee relations matters, conducting investigations and providing guidance on disciplinary actions and workplace conflict resolution.
- Change Management & Transformation - Design and lead transformation initiatives supporting strategic pivots and business model changes with comprehensive change management strategies.
- Organisational Structure & Design - Lead organisational design initiatives including span of control optimisation, role clarity definition, and decision-making authority frameworks.
- Team Engagement & HRBP Culture - Contribute to building a positive, collaborative APAC HRBP culture through sharing best practices and fostering knowledge exchange.
- Cyclical HR Activities - Lead annual HR activities including performance review cycles, budget planning, compensation planning, employee engagement surveys, and workforce planning.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field. Professional HR certification highly desirable.
- Extensive progressive HR experience with significant business partnering or senior generalist experience, supporting senior leadership and managing complex HR initiatives.
- Strategic thinking with ability to see the big picture while operating effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and driving simplification of complex processes and organisational structures.
- Extensive experience serving as a trusted HR advisor to C-suite executives and senior leadership teams with change management experience to guide others through uncertainty.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills with ability to influence at all organisational levels within HR teams and with business leaders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, advanced Excel skills, and experience with HR analytics tools. Strong understanding of employment law and regulatory requirements.
