Profile Requirements:

  • HR Experience: Minimum 5+ years of progressive HR or Human Resources Associate experience, preferably supporting a security, staffing, private services, or similarly regulated organization.
  • Security Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with security personnel operations, licensing/credentialing, background checks, employee certifications, and the staffing requirements of armed/unarmed security, patrol, loss prevention, and firewatch services is strongly preferred.
  • Employment Compliance: Strong working knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, confidentiality, employment regulations, recordkeeping, and compliance requirements.
  • Organization & Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail, discretion, organization, and the ability to manage multiple employee and HR matters simultaneously.
  • Technology & Problem-Solving: Proficiency with HRIS, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and digital HR systems, with the ability to work independently, resolve issues, and support a fast-paced workforce.

Core responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Staffing: Support the recruitment, screening, interviewing, and hiring of security personnel, including armed and unarmed security officers, patrol officers, loss prevention, firewatch, and administrative staff.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Coordinate new-hire onboarding, background checks, employment documentation, orientations, required credentials, and employee separation processes.
  • Employee Records & HR Administration: Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files, HR databases, attendance records, employment documentation, certifications, licenses, and other required records.
  • Compliance & Policies: Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, security licensing requirements, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Training & Certifications: Coordinate required employee training, including security officer training programs, firearms-related qualifications where applicable, safety, compliance, and ongoing professional development.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as an HR point of contact for employees and management, assisting with workplace concerns, performance issues, disciplinary processes, policy questions, and conflict resolution.
  • Benefits, Payroll & Attendance Support: Assist with payroll-related HR information, timekeeping, employee benefits administration, leave tracking, and resolving personnel or attendance discrepancies.
  • HR Reporting & Management Support: Prepare HR reports, track staffing and turnover metrics, support audits and investigations, and assist leadership with workforce planning and other HR initiatives across commercial and residential security operations
