About The Role
As a Heritage Consultant, you’ll:

  • Conduct aboriginal cultural heritage and archaeological surveys and assessments, across Victoria and interstate,
  • Work alongside and consult with Traditional Owners, ensuring respectful and meaningful collaboration.
  • Provide technical advice and services to clients while honing your project management and technical skills.
  • Develop and grow in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, with exposure to a wide variety of projects and challenges.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking passionate, proactive professionals with:

  • A tertiary degree in Australian archaeology.
  • 2–4 years of fieldwork experience in Aboriginal cultural heritage or archaeology.
  • Good knowledge of Victorian Aboriginal and historic heritage legislation and the statutory approvals process. Knowledge of other state or Commonwealth legislation desirable but not essential
  • Listed on the Victorian Heritage Advisor list or eligible to be added
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • The ability to lead and conduct fieldwork and operate in remote locations when needed (survey and excavation). Travel may be required interstate and locally.
  • A valid Australian driver’s licence.
  • Familiarity with WHS obligations and responsibilities.
  • Authorisation to work in Australia.
