The Head of Risk role involves managing enterprise risk and compliance, enhancing frameworks, and reporting to senior leadership. The position demands significant experience and leadership in regulated industries.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the COO/CISO you’ll take ownership of enterprise risk, governance, and compliance across the organisation.
This is a hands-on role focused on uplifting and embedding the existing framework, ensuring it is practical, scalable, and aligned to the needs of a growing business operating across ANZ. US and UK.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the uplift and enhancement of the enterprise risk framework and policy
- Familiar with certifications like CISO and SOC, in a similar industry
- Industry experience in SaaS
- Reviewing and refining existing frameworks to ensure they are fit-for-purpose and streamlined
- Establishing a clear and measurable risk appetite and reporting structure
- Driving improvements across governance frameworks and policy architecture
- Strengthening compliance frameworks and monitoring programs
- Enhancing operational risk, resilience, and incident management capability
- Delivering clear, concise reporting to the Board and senior leadership
This role is Hybrid based in either our Melbourne or Sydney Office
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years’ experience across risk, compliance, or governance
- Experience in a senior leadership role (Head of / GM / Director level)
- Strong experience in uplifting or enhancing existing frameworks
- Background in regulated or complex industries
- A pragmatic, commercial approach with a focus on embedding frameworks into the business
