Build the partnerships that bring the next generation of students to Contour.

Contour is growing into new markets across Australia, and partnerships are how we'll reach the families who haven't found us yet. As our Head of Partnerships, you'll build a national partnership ecosystem spanning universities, schools, multicultural and specialist schools, local communities and regional Australia.

This is a build role with a number attached. You'll own partner-sourced enrolments, set the national partnership plan, and use partnerships to establish Contour's networks in QLD and NSW as we expand. You'll design programs that put students' goals first, including a regional schools program that takes Contour's resources and teaching approach beyond the cities.

You'll sit in our Sales team, reporting to the VP of Sales, and lead a cross-functional partnership team across Sales, Marketing and Academics. You'll also work with the people who build our product, so it keeps meeting partners' needs as the ecosystem grows.

Who We Are

Contour was founded in 2020 by students who saw that the quality of your education was basically a lottery. Teachers stretched thin by the system, learning materials that varied from school to school, and support that stopped the moment you left the classroom.

We began with 5 students in a room. Today 15,000+ students have trusted Contour as their academic partners, and we've grown to 500+ team members across 10 campuses in Australia. In 2025 we ranked #8 on the AFR Fast 100 of fastest-growing companies.

We've produced hundreds of 99+ ATARs, tutored the world-record UCAT scorer, and placed 850+ students into medical and dental schools across Australia.

Contour is made up of three brands:

  • Contour Education → academic performance in high school
  • Contour MedPrep → entry into medical and dental schools
  • Contour TestPrep → entry into selective and scholarship schools

Contour is built by students, for students.

What You Will Do

Build and run the partnership ecosystem that turns trusted relationships into enrolments.

  • Partnership strategy: Own the national partnership plan, tied to Sales targets, and use partnerships to open new markets in QLD and NSW.
  • Schools and higher education: Build joint programs and referral pathways with universities and with government, Catholic and independent schools.
  • Community and specialist reach: Partner with multicultural, community language and specialist schools, local businesses and community groups, and design a scalable program for regional schools.
  • Partner management: Own every partnership end to end, from agreement and joint plan to reviews and renewal, with results tracked in HubSpot
  • Cross-functional leadership: Brief Sales to convert partner-sourced leads, and work with Marketing, Academics and product so we deliver on every promise to partners.

What You Will Bring
  • 7+ years' experience in partnerships, business development or channel management, ideally in education or a service sold on trust.
  • A track record of building partner channels from scratch and owning a partner-sourced revenue or customer target.
  • Experience partnering with schools, universities or community organisations, and an understanding of how they make decisions.
  • CRM discipline: you track partner leads, pipeline and results (HubSpot experience a plus).
  • Experience designing a program or partnership model that scaled across multiple sites or regions.
  • Commercial judgement to decide which partnerships to grow, fix or exit, and to show the return on sponsorships and community spend.
  • Ability to lead people you don't manage, across Sales, Marketing and product teams.
  • Strong presentation and relationship skills with principals, careers advisers, community leaders and business owners.
  • Comfort working across multicultural communities and regional Australia, and willingness to travel interstate.
  • Genuine care for students and what education can do for them.

Why You Will Love It
  • Build a national partnership function from the ground up in one of Australia's fastest-growing education companies.
  • Shape how Contour enters new markets, with direct access to senior leadership.
  • Make a real difference for students in communities and regions that are often overlooked.
  • Opportunity for career development to progress as the organisation grows
  • Competitive salary ($200,000–$230,000 AUD (OTE) + super) plus hybrid flexibility, extra leave, EAP access, and lifestyle perks.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
