The role:

Crown Resorts is seeking an experienced risk professional to join our Melbourne team as Group Manager – Risk (Group Functions). In this key Line 2 role, you'll provide oversight and strategic risk guidance across corporate functions spanning our Melbourne, Sydney and Perth properties. Partnering with stakeholders across the business, you'll help strengthen risk practices, enhance business performance, and support Crown's ongoing transformation.

This opportunity is ideal for a risk SME who thrives in complex, highly regulated environments. Working closely with our Legal, Compliance and Financial Crime teams, you'll drive risk uplift across a unique 24/7 operation. Experience in enterprise risk management, general insurance, and navigating multiple regulatory frameworks will be highly regarded.

This role is based in Melbourne.

You’ll be:

  • Leading Line 2 oversight, reviewing and reporting on Group Services risks, incidents and emerging issues
  • Providing risk advice on key corporate and enterprise-wide projects and initiatives
  • Overseeing the effectiveness of financial and non-financial risk controls
  • Identifying and addressing control weaknesses to ensure risks are effectively managed
  • Monitoring key controls and compliance obligations, driving continuous improvement where required
  • Partnering with Line 1 teams to maintain accurate and current corporate risk profiles
  • Reviewing, challenging and endorsing risk assessments and business risk profiles
  • Delivering risk training and promoting a strong, proactive risk culture across the organization
  • Leading the Crown insurance function for the group (managing 1 direct report) to ensure Crown maintains sufficient insurance coverage at commercially optimal rates

You’ll bring:

  • 5+ years' experience in risk management within a highly regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, governance and regulatory requirements
  • Experience across corporate or group functions, with the ability to navigate complex environments
  • Knowledge of general insurance, including policy and coverage review, is advantageous
  • Experience operating across multiple jurisdictions or regulatory frameworks
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders, build relationships and drive positive risk outcomes
  • Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Casino Employee Licences in NSW, VIC and WA
