About the role
We’re seeking a Graduate Accountant to support core financial accounting activities, including daily transaction processing, month‑end accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and maintaining project, fixed asset and intangible asset registers. You will also contribute to internal and external audits and upholds strong stewardship practices.
This position plays an active role in continuous improvement by driving process consistency, standardisation, automation, and maintaining process documentation.

Day-to-day, you will:
- Adhere to accounting policies, processes, and key financial controls.
- Support month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journals with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Prepare calculations to support accounting entries and complete balance sheet reconciliations within set timelines, escalating issues as needed.
- Assist in maintaining the integrity of trial balances through regular account reviews, clearing accounts, ageing analysis, reclassifications, and stewardship activities.
- Raise external and intercompany invoices, monitor settlements, and resolve payment issues in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Contribute to internal and external audits by gathering required information and supporting cyclical reporting disclosures.
- Create, update, and maintain process and procedure documentation, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
- You’ll have recently completed your degree and qualified in Commerce, Accounting or similar
- 1-2 years experience in a relevant accounting role
- A thirst for learning, naturally curious and adaptable
- You’re a team player, but you have no problem working independently to achieve identified goals
- As a strong communicator, you enjoy dealing with various stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
- High levels of attention to detail, with the accuracy of the information you compile so that your stakeholders can make the right decisions
- You enjoy problem solving, and enjoy the various challenges that come with a fast-paced and evolving organisation
