Job Description

Own the pipeline that powers GYG's franchise growth.

The Franchise Recruitment Manager sits at the intersection of strategy and relationships, responsible for building and maintaining the pipeline of high-quality franchisee candidates that underpins our restaurant expansion. You'll own the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process for incoming franchisees, inform site allocation decisions with real data, and act as a trusted partner to both the Senior Leadership Team and the franchisee network.

What You'll Do

  • Lead strategic planning for franchisee expansion and new restaurant site allocation, ensuring a healthy and well-qualified candidate pipeline
  • Manage all phases of the franchisee recruitment process, from initial inquiry and assessment through to final approval
  • Coordinate onboarding for incoming franchisees, ensuring a structured, compliant and well-supported transition into the network
  • Interpret Operations Review & Compliance (ORC) data, franchisee performance reviews and real estate mapping to inform and communicate expandability decisions
  • Present site allocation recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team and manage competing stakeholder views with confidence
  • Build and maintain repeatable processes across recruitment, onboarding and strategic planning to support the scale of GYG's growth
  • Ensure all recruitment and onboarding activity is compliant with the Franchising Code of Conduct and associated documentation requirements
  • Develop and manage genuine, ongoing relationships with the franchisee network, including direct conversations around site opportunities and missed allocations

What You'll Bring

  • Deep working knowledge of franchise network operations
  • Experience in franchise recruitment, onboarding, or a closely related commercial or operations role
  • Strong strategic and commercial thinking, with the ability to plan several years ahead and communicate complex decisions clearly
  • Data literacy and ORC fluency — comfortable interpreting franchisee performance data, ORC reviews and real estate mapping
  • Working knowledge of the Franchising Code of Conduct and associated legal and compliance requirements
  • Senior stakeholder management skills, including the ability to present to and influence the SLT
  • Process discipline and systems thinking — able to build and maintain structure across complex, multi-phase workflows
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite
  • Valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel as required
  • Tertiary qualification in business, commerce or a related discipline preferred

What You'll Love

  • Real career growth as we embark on our journey scale up to 1000+ GYG restaurants throughout Australia
  • Annual short-term incentive scheme
  • GYG restricted shares, earned each year through our long-term incentive scheme
  • Up to 5 weeks of annual leave each year (ask us how)
  • Paid parental leave

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
