Are you a finance professional ready to take the next step in your FP&A journey? We’re looking for a proactive and analytical FP&A Analyst to join our high-performing Finance team based in Melbourne. This hybrid role is ideal for someone looking to broaden their commercial impact and gain exposure across an APAC-wide business.

You’ll support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis, while partnering with business leaders to help drive smarter, data-led decision-making.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a key member of the APAC FP&A team, you’ll support the Senior FP&A Manager and Finance Director with:

Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Delivering monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including P&L reviews, variance analysis, and financial commentary
     

  • Monitoring headcount, staff costs, capex, and departmental spend
     

  • Supporting flash reporting and risk/opportunity assessments for forecasts
     

  • Tracking and analysing key KPIs across the business
     

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
  • Coordinating budgets and forecasts for operating expenses and headcount
     

  • Updating financial models in Anaplan and preparing reports and presentations
     

  • Working closely with department heads to ensure budget accountability and financial discipline
     

Business Partnering
  • Building trusted relationships with leaders across Sales, Marketing, and other departments
     

  • Providing clear, actionable insights on performance and trends
     

  • Supporting business cases, marketing ROI analysis, and customer lifetime value assessments
     

  • Contributing to strategic planning and investment decision support
     

Process Improvement & Data Management
  • Streamlining and automating reporting and analysis using tools like Excel, Power BI, and Anaplan
     

  • Maintaining accurate financial data across systems and ensuring version control
     

  • Continuously seeking opportunities to enhance financial processes and insights
     

What You’ll Bring
  • Degree-qualified in Accounting or Finance
     

  • 2–3+ years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or management reporting
     

  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Anaplan, Tableau, HFM or NetSuite is a bonus
     

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to see the bigger picture
     

  • Confident communicator who can work independently and collaboratively
     

  • Curious, analytical, and always looking to improve how things are done
