Job DescriptionThe Team
The Forward Deployed Process Engineer sits within SEEK’s Operational Excellence capability in a small, cross-functional team focused on combining process excellence with AI transformation.
This team is intentionally lean and high leverage. We provide central expertise, practical methods and coordination, while enabling improvement to be delivered within business functions. The role reports to the Head of Operational Excellence and works closely with the Head of AI Transformation’s team to redesign workflows so AI is built on strong, effective processes rather than layered on top of inefficiency.
Why the role exists
Help SEEK meet its operating leverage targets through process redesign, automation and AI.
Build close partnerships with business leaders, delivery teams and AI specialists to re-engineer critical processes.
Establish central capability so leaders build process literacy and practical improvement capability across SEEK.
Key responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of re-engineered processes that support SEEK’s operating leverage and growth ambitions, including:
Working with the business to simplify processes.
Coordinating the build of automation or AI solutions, either building the solution directly or through the support of engineering teams.
Partner across business, technology, data and AI teams to deliver and embed re-engineered processes.
Build and grow central process excellence capability through practical methods, templates, playbooks and coaching.
Deep experience in process engineering, process improvement or operational excellence, including redesign of complex, cross-functional workflows.
Comfortable working at the intersection of process, data, AI and technology, and collaborating with technical teams.
Experience building automated workflows, or the curiosity and capability to quickly learn automation and AI tools.
Proven ability to influence and coach senior leaders and cross-functional teams in federated environments with limited formal authority.
Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to uncover how work really gets done and turn that into clear, practical decisions and artefacts.
Experience designing enablement approaches such as leader training, playbooks, templates or communities of practice.
Comfortable operating in ambiguous, evolving environments, balancing experimentation with appropriate governance and control.
