- Be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering hands-on maintenance, systems engineering, supply and test activities with direct operational impact.
What you'll get to do:
- Establish Initial Operational Foundations: Lead the establishment of robust processes, procedures, and business cadence in the scheduling function, ensuring a seamless transition from capability set-up to full operational status.
- Manage Daily Operations: Execute the daily management and coordination of the flying program and administrative course reporting activities at the School of Army Aviation (SAA).
- Program Training Systems: Manage the training information system, including the development of short and medium-term flying training plans and schedules. This includes the ability to forward-plan and synchronise discrete components of the training and flying programs to ensure effective de-confliction of tasking.
- Manage Schedule Risk: Support coordination and re-scheduling efforts for all training event changes. This includes performing schedule risk assessments, developing alternative plan analyses, and providing reporting documentation to justify changes or elevate identifiable issues regarding delays and impacts.
- Database Administration: Assist with the administration of the Patriot Excalibur (PEX) database system on behalf of the Operations Cell.
- Operational Autonomy: Work with minimal supervision as part of a dynamic operations cell, delivering high-quality services in support of flying operations.
Who we're looking for:
Essential
- Minimum of three years' experience in a flying operations support and programming role
- Demonstrated track record in driving process and productivity improvement
- Demonstrated experience employing the FlightPro software package
- Exceptional communication skills with business, customers, and other stakeholders.
Desirable
- Competent knowledge of the Patriot Excalibur (PEX), Sentinel, PMKeyS and Objective planning, scheduling and reporting tools
- Experience working within a Defence environment
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft programs (Outlook/ Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
