The opportunity
We are seeking two talented Financial Analyst/Project Cost Controller to join our Boeing Defence Australia Finance team which. These newly created roles, which complements our finance team of 150 employees, consists of project cost control management and reportingto support projects across the Currawong Battlespace Communications System Portfolio and MQ28. This role offers the opportunity to challenge yourself in a fast-paced environment with plenty of changes that keep the work interesting and the opportunity for exposure to the broader Boeing enterprise.
One of these roles will be a Toowoomba site-based role with the requirement to work on site 5 days a week, and requirement for initial travel to Brisbane for training and on-going once a month for 1-2 days to connect with the Brisbane based Finance Team.

Responsibilities:
- Maintaining project budgets and forecasts while fostering relationships with cost account managers.
- Analysis of cost and schedule performance producing variance analysis, identifying recommendations on impacts & actions to cost account managers and commercial leads.
- Support the month end process with the required journals and reconciliations, including all required reporting.
- Collaborate as part of a larger team and openly share information.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement.
- Stakeholder management including liaising with cost account managers and the finance team.
Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business or commerce; or equivalent experience in the workforce; Studying toward CA/CPA also desirable.
- Relevant experience in management accounting or cost control role.
- Competent user with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and other Microsoft Office applications as well as experience with ERP Systems.
- Ability to adapt to different situations and ask for help with competing priorities.
- Proactive approach to day to day tasking.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
