About this role at Thule
We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to manage the accounting and administration for Thule Outdoor Australia. Reporting to the Finance Director Asia Pacific, and with the support of the CFO of Quad Lock, you’ll take ownership of maintaining accounts and monthly reporting to the Thule Group.
In this role, you’ll oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processing for Thule Outdoor Australia, while also providing general administrative support across the company. You’ll partner with teams in sales, operations, supply chain, and IT across the Thule Group to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Please note: this role will be based in the Quad Lock HQ in South Yarra.
What You Will Do
- Maintain the accounts for Thule Outdoor Australia
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process for the Australia Sales Region
- Develop and monitor KPIs to assess the financial performance of the business
- Provide detailed analysis on sales performance, margins, customer profitability, and other commercial activities
- Run the AR and AP functions and the payroll processing, including proactively monitoring and following up receivables aging and where necessary, interacting with customers
- Collaborate with the commercial team to develop strategies that optimise commercial performance and drive growth
- Advise on pricing strategies, cost management, and profit maximisation efforts
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve commercial decision-making
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports together with the commercial team, highlighting key financial insights
- Monitor and analyse variances between budget, forecast, and actual results, providing action plans for any discrepancies
- Evaluate and manage the commercial cost base, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement
- Ensure effective management of working capital
- Conduct profitability analysis for commercial projects and business initiatives
- Work together with the commercial team to align financial targets with operational goals
- Prepare financial presentations for stakeholders, providing insights to support decision-making.
What You Bring
- Bachelor of Commerce, Finance, Accounting or similar
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Strong IT skills
- Analytical, service minded and self-driven with a “can-do”- attitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Curious people person, with a professional and structured approach, and a high level of integrity
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks
