We are currently looking for a Finance Control Manager to join our team on a full-time, 12–13-month max-term contract. This role will be based in Melbourne, working hybrid (minimum 1 day in the office per week).
The Finance Control Manager leads the Finance Control team and reports to the Financial Controller. You will oversee the accounting process, balance sheet control, and banking function, as well as manage tax compliance for Australian and New Zealand entities. This role provides leadership during month and year end processes while establishing internal control protocols. You will manage a team of accountants and work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Your role, your contribution
- Lead the month end process and ensure journals follow the agreed timetable.
- Deliver financial reporting to the business units.
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and manage Blackline month end software.
- Ensure timely lodgement with the ATO, IRD, and other regulatory bodies.
- Manage transactional banking relationships with NAB and BNZ.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and career development for the Finance Control team.

What you bring to the role
- CA, CPA, or CIMA qualification.
- Experience in a similar corporate finance or accounting role.
- Advanced knowledge of financial and management accounting principles.
- Current knowledge of Australian and New Zealand financial legislation.
- Experience managing a team of finance professionals.
- High proficiency with finance software systems.
