We are looking for an authentic, curious, and commercially driven Finance Business Partner - Group Function & Optimisation to join our team in Sydney or Melbourne.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

As our Finance Business Partner - Group Function & Optimisation, you will be at the heart of commercial decision-making across our core Group Functions, including People, Strategy, Finance, Corporate Affairs, and Executive Offices.

You won’t just be crunching numbers—you will provide end-to-end commercial partnering, constructive challenge, and strategic advice to senior executives. You will also play a pivotal role in EndeavourGO and Procurement, driving financial oversight, benefits tracking, and business case modelling for major group-wide optimisation initiatives.

• Act as a trusted commercial advisor to senior leaders across Group Functions, providing proactive financial insights and constructive challenge to support decision-making.
• Own the end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, planning, and monthly performance cycles across the Group Functions portfolio.
• Partner directly with EndeavourGO and Procurement teams to model business cases, track benefits realisation, and evaluate strategic transformation projects.
• Deeply analyze monthly performance against targets, communicate core drivers, and highlight emerging risks and commercial opportunities.
• Craft clear, compelling financial commentary and performance insights for Group FP&A, senior Finance leaders, and executive forums.
• Proactively identify opportunities to simplify processes, harness data and automation, and elevate team capability.
• Partner smoothly with Group FP&A, Financial Control, and Shared Services to uphold robust governance and control.

Now let’s talk about you: 

We are looking for someone with strong commercial acumen, adaptability, and exceptional relationship-building skills in complex environments.

Qualifications & Core Experience:

• CA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• 5 - 7+ years of relevant experience across FP&A, commercial finance, or finance business partnering in a complex, corporate environment.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and analytical capability with a proven ability to translate complex financial data into actionable strategic insights.
• Confidence and maturity to build trust, communicate clearly, and challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
• Prior exposure to benefits realization, transformation programs, or procurement financial evaluation is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and experience with systems like SAP, TM1, or modern FP&A platforms.
• Retail, FMCG, or adjacent industry experience will be viewed favourably.
