The Opportunity -
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to join the C-17 Field Services Team at RAAF Base Amberley west of Brisbane. The Supply Chain Specialist will ensure seamless execution of supply chain activities in support of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) and C-17 Virtual Fleet partners.
This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley.
As a Field Supply Representative within BDA, you will
  • Assist the higher-level Supply Chain Specialist in providing guidance to the local C-17 Supply Team including warehouse contract execution and daily tasking management, including performance, safety and quality.
  • Ability to process quality documentation for aircraft related assets exporting to the US or other FMS Virtual Fleet countries.
  • Utilise supply chain expertise to sustain a high level of availability to meet customer operational tempo, this includes after-hours support for both the RAAF and Virtual Fleet Partners.
  • Support Aircraft Operationally Grounded (AOG) requests for the RAAF and Virtual Fleet partners and provide updates to customers and program focal.
  • Assist in the monitoring of contractual KPIs, investigate supply chain problems, determine root cause, and develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Running inventory reports and developing action plans to resolve discrepancies in import/export shipments.
  • Monitor the quality and quantity of repairable and non-repairable returns and process them in a timely manner
  • Proven ability to research, analyse and develop creative and innovative supply solutions to complex, novel logistics support problems
  • Assists when required to notify Asset Managers regarding Stock Level Shortages utilising historical data.
  • Maintain high level of customer service to RAAF and Virtual Fleet in relation to AOG, parts inquiry and issue resolution.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Experience within dynamic high priority global supply chains. Specifically, the movement and tracking of high value assets through the supply pipeline from source to end user.
  • Demonstrated experience in the leadership and management of spares in aviation related supply chain services environments. Specifically, logistics management, inventory management and warehousing disciplines.
  • Sound knowledge of Import, Export and Global Trade Control policies and procedures including ITAR
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements
  • Hold or could obtain a negative Vet 1 security clearance and an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)-Known Consignor.
