The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and inspiring leader to join our Home Lending leadership team as Executive Manager - Lending Capability & Coaching. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the capability strategy for our lending workforce, ensuring our teams have the skills, confidence and coaching support required to deliver exceptional customer outcomes, drive sustainable performance, strengthen risk judgement and maintain a strong risk culture.

As a strategic leader, you will partner closely with senior business stakeholders to design and embed industry-leading capability programs, coaching frameworks and leadership development initiatives. Your deep lending and credit expertise, combined with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, will be critical to influencing senior leaders, building organisational capability and ensuring our workforce is equipped to exercise sound credit judgement while delivering for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the lending capability and coaching strategy across the lending network.

  • Lead a high-performing team of lending coaches and capability professionals.

  • Drive continuous improvement in lender performance, customer outcomes and risk management practices.

  • Design and implement scalable learning, coaching and accreditation frameworks.

  • Partner with business leaders to identify capability gaps and deliver targeted development solutions.

  • Build a culture of ownership, continuous learning, psychological safety and high performance, where constructive feedback, curiosity and coaching help teams grow.

  • Use customer, performance and capability insights to measure effectiveness, continuously improve learning outcomes and drive capability excellence.

  • Ensure capability programs align with regulatory obligations, operational excellence and strategic priorities.

What You'll Bring

  • Extensive leadership experience within home lending, banking or financial services.

  • Deep expertise in home lending and credit, with a strong understanding of lending processes, credit risk and customer engagement.

  • Proven experience leading large-scale capability, coaching or performance improvement programs.

  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships and influence Executive stakeholders across the business.

  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and driving cultural change.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance commercial outcomes with customer excellence, sound risk judgement and enterprise thinking.

  • A passion for developing people, fostering curiosity and building high-performing teams through coaching and continuous learning.
