The Technology Team is responsible for the world's leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. Enterprise Architecture at CommBank is accountable for setting and leading the technology strategic direction for CBA that will enable innovative new services and products to be delivered for our customers at pace, via scalable and repeatable technology and processes.

Do work that matters

This role reports to the Chapter Lead Enterprise Architecture - Transformation Programs and Strategic Enablement within Enterprise Architecture. This chapter drives technology transformation whilst working collaboratively with our stakeholders. Modernising the Bank is complex. We are striving to develop a modern target state whilst recognising that transition needs to be manageable and achievable.

In this role you will:

  • Actively drive the implementation of EA strategies and utilise best practices to support the adoption of technology uplift and utilisation

  • Provide guidance to enterprise architects on defining technical service capabilities, design attributes, draft enterprise profiles and segment architecture; controlling risks and solving complex issues related to EA.

  • Validate solution architecture against Reference Architecture.

  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders, address stakeholder requirements and provide client consultations to shape the future success of EA.

  • Provide EA support by directing teams in baseline, target and roadmap development, transition planning, system and security management and segment architecture.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

  • Are passionate about technology modernisation and organisational transformation

  • Have proven experience in an Architecture, Technology and/or Institutional Transformation role

  • Can demonstrate a thirst for continuous learning and applying the latest thinking to solve problems

  • Solid experience in working in an enterprise-wide role and with extensive experience building and managing relationships

  •  Have familiarity or qualifications in an Enterprise Architecture methodology, e.g. TOGAF, Zachman

  • Are across some of the following technologies – AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Systems Architecture, Application Modernisation, Platform Engineering, Cloud Security, Application Architectures, Resilience, Cloud Networking, Risk and Compliance.

  • Have a degree in Computer Science, or a non-computer-science degree and demonstratable technology knowledge
