A Day in the LifeThe Enterprise Accounts function partners with large private hospital networks and buying groups to develop strategic commercial partnerships that support access to Medtronic therapies and solutions. This role leads the Enterprise Accounts business across the Western region, supporting the ANZ Medical Surgical, Cardiovascular and Neuroscience portfolios through a team of Strategic Account Managers.
Based in Melbourne, this hybrid leadership role is responsible for driving growth across Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Australia. Travel throughout the territory is required to engage customers, support the team and strengthen executive-level relationships.

This leadership role is responsible for leading a regional team of Strategic Account Managers and executing the Enterprise Accounts strategy across the Western Territory. The successful candidate will partner with operating unit leaders, cross-functional stakeholders and senior customer decision-makers to grow strategic partnerships, deliver commercial outcomes and expand business opportunities across key healthcare accounts.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a regional team of Strategic Account Managers to drive performance, capability and customer impact.

  • Develop and execute regional sales and account strategies to achieve Annual Operating Plan targets, growth objectives and Enterprise Accounts priorities.

  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with private hospital networks, buying groups and key customer stakeholders.

  • Lead negotiations and execution of strategic commercial agreements, enterprise contracts and partnership initiatives.

  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities through customer insights, market intelligence and account analytics.

  • Oversee commercial proposal development, pricing strategies, financial modelling, contract negotiations and risk management activities.

  • Monitor forecasts, account plans and business performance to ensure achievement of financial and operational goals.

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Accounts and operating unit leadership teams to drive strategic planning, business reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of experience in senior sales, commercial leadership or strategic account management roles with a demonstrated track record of delivering business growth.

  • 5+ years of experience leading sales or commercial teams, including direct leadership of sales professionals.

  • Experience developing and executing commercial strategies, forecasts, budgets and territory plans.

  • Demonstrated experience engaging, influencing and negotiating with executive-level stakeholders, including Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers and Procurement leaders.

  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in business, commerce, healthcare management or a related discipline.

  • Experience within the medical device, healthcare, pharmaceuticals or broader health services industry.

  • Experience leading enterprise, strategic or national account management teams.

  • Advanced commercial acumen, including pricing strategy, contract management, financial analysis and proposal development.

  • Experience using customer relationship management platforms such as Salesforce and advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.
