Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated, IV-qualified Enrolled Nurse (EN) with hands-on theatre experience to step into a crucial Theatre Set-up role. In this fast-paced position, you will be responsible for setting up specialized surgical instruments, preparing sterile fields, and organizing critical perioperative consumables before each list. Utilising your previous Medical/Surgical experience you will also safely prepare and administer intravenous medications while ensuring strict adherence to infection control and patient safety standards.
As a member of our clinical team you will be planning, evaluating and delivering care to patients with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality service is provided to our patients.
The role encompasses a broad range of surgical specialties, including bariatric, gynaecology, urology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, cardiac surgery, and orthopaedics to name a few. Our Nurse Educators will provide support transitioning into the new hospital and help to build knowledge and skill in the specialties cared for.
About You
You will be a trained nurse with strong customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:
- Relevant qualifications and registrations with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse (IV Qualified)
- Previous experience working in an acute hospital environment
- Flexibility to work a rotating 7-day roster is essential
- Demonstrates excellent time management and organisational skills
- Work well with a team.
