Job DescriptionOverall management and leadership of technical team within JCA organization.
- High level engineering support as senior technical specialist.
- Lead, manage and develop the Engineering Team on a daily basis.
- In-depth field troubleshooting, including analysis of problems / recommendation & implementation of appropriate solutions, meeting with customers in plant or at customer’s site to resolve satisfactorily; this may include working with plant personnel at managerial level to provide senior technical support.
- Detailed failure analysis activities, including full investigation / reporting /resolution with customer with necessary commercial awareness.
- Delegation of / involvement with core engineering tasks such as:
- Processing of application requests
- Product selections & applications
- Relevant engineering calculations
- Generation of engineering proposals / specifications to apply
- Standard product to meet customers' need.
- Conduct JCA’s performance review process with the Engineering Team.
▪ Resolve employee issues &/or conflicts according to JCA’s policies and procedures.
▪ Conduct skill set analysis within the business units to identify learning and development opportunities.
▪ Recruit and select qualified candidates for any vacancies within the business unit in accordance with JCA policies and procedures.
▪ Conduct regular workforce analysis and make recommendations on re-structuring, training or recruitment and selection.
▪ Reward and recognise the achievements of the teams and/or individuals through financial and non-financial mediums.
▪ Set, review and measure the Engineering Team and individuals KPIs in accordance to the businesses objectives.
▪ Lead process and cultural change within the Engineering Team.
▪ Promote continuous improvement in the change process
▪ Communicate and enforce John Crane Australia policies and procedures.
▪ Develop and implement team building exercises
Review and manage the strategic objectives and plans of the Engineering Team in line with the organisations goals & targets.
▪ Implement, monitor and review Engineering Governances principals and processes within the Oceania region
▪ Deliver high level technical support solutions on time to all JCA internal and external clients both remotely and face to face
Minimum years of experience in role:
Typically, at least 5-10 years’ in plant process systems and equipment design
knowledge, based on individual talent.
Preferred Technical Knowledge and Skills (if any):
- Skilled in drawing software & Office software such as CAD program, word,
excel and PowerPoint etc.
- Be familiar to product characters and design requirements.
- Master the usage of internet tools about technology.
- Manage Skill: Good team spirit, good communication and commercial
awareness
