Where the team fits in
Join our Realtair Pitch team and help revolutionize how real estate agents win listings across Australia. You'll be leading the engineering behind the fully customizable presentation builder that amplifies lead generation and conversion by letting agents quickly create digital prospecting presentations, pre-listing proposals and appraisals. This is where first impressions become winning listings. Your team builds the platform that empowers agents to create professional and instantly shareable Price Updates and proposals in minutes, complete with integrated market data from CoreLogic, PropTrack, and Pricefinder, synchronized testimonials, and real-time engagement tracking that tells agents exactly when prospects open their documents.
As an Engineering Manager, you'll lead a talented squad tackling fascinating technical challenges—dynamic content generation, real-time notifications, third-party data integrations, and presentation rendering at scale. You'll balance delivering features that convert prospects into clients with building the robust architecture that supports thousands of agents winning business every day. This is your opportunity to drive both product innovation and engineering excellence in a platform that directly impacts agents' bottom lines
What the role is all about
- Shape and deliver the technical strategy, ensuring system health, engineering quality, and alignment with our tech vision.
- Lead solution design, contribute to product strategy, and guide adoption of best practices (design patterns, clean code, TDD).
- Own your team’s systems end-to-end (“You Own It, You Run It”), ensuring reliability and effective incident response.
- Manage and develop 5–8 engineers (up to 12 with partner teams), driving performance, growth, and engagement.
- Recruit top talent, onboard new team members, and foster a high-performance culture.
- Deliver against the product roadmap, using Agile practices, tracking progress, and managing dependencies.
Who we’re looking for
You're an experienced engineering leader who builds high-performing teams and delivers exceptional technical outcomes. You're equally energized by solving complex technical challenges as you are by developing engineers and fostering a culture of excellence.
You lead through influence and expertise. You've scaled engineering teams, mentored developers from junior to senior levels, and created environments where people do their best work. You're hands-on enough to guide technical decisions and review architecture, yet strategic enough to align your team's work with broader organizational goals.
You thrive in product-driven environments where delivery pace matters as much as technical quality. You've implemented Agile practices that actually work, navigated complex dependencies across teams, and maintained system reliability even as you ship rapidly. You know when to refactor and when to ship, when to build and when to buy.
Above all, you're a leader who creates clarity from ambiguity, turns talented individuals into cohesive teams, and consistently delivers outcomes that drive the business forward. You see people development and technical excellence as complementary, not competing priorities.
