We’re seeking an Engagement Advisor to join the Property Services Group (PSG)—a large and complex function responsible for managing RMIT’s built environment, major capital projects, facilities, and campus operations across Melbourne and beyond.This is not a traditional communications role focused purely on content production. It’s a highly visible, hands-on position where you’ll influence how PSG engages with staff, stakeholders and the broader University community.
About the Role
You will lead and deliver a broad range of communication and engagement initiatives that strengthen culture, improve stakeholder experience, and support major operational and strategic priorities.
You’ll be responsible for creating engaging communications, managing digital channels, supporting change and project communications, coordinating events and engagement activities, and ensuring messaging across PSG is clear, aligned and impactful.
This role suits someone who enjoys variety, works well in a fast-paced environment, and can confidently move between strategy and execution.
About You
You’re a strong communicator who can simplify complexity, build relationships quickly, and deliver high-quality work in a dynamic environment.
You’ll bring:
Demonstrated experience in communications, engagement, marketing or related roles
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Experience managing digital communication channels and content
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Confidence engaging with a broad range of stakeholders
High proficiency across Microsoft 365 and SharePoint platforms
A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused mindset
About the Group
Property Services is located in the Operations Portfolio which is the services nucleus of RMIT and the focus for the development of the finance, people development infrastructure and systems that provide administrative capacity to the University.
Property Services has approximately 110 staff and has the responsibility to operate, maintain and enhance the buildings owned and leased by RMIT University, oversee construction projects and ensure the provision of physical facilities services.
