The Opportunity -
In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.
BDA is looking for an EMS Coordinator who will join the E7-A Wedgetail team. The EMS Coordinator will report to the SEIT Enduring Services Manager and will be embedded in the E7-A program to continuously improve and manage configuration of the Program EMS, represent the program in EMS Change Control Board meetings, and assist the program Chief Engineer in developing and gathering metrics to assess the overall health of the program EMS. This is a wonderful opportunity to work in the Office of the Chief Engineer team and engage daily with chief engineers and process leads to improve the efficiency and ease of use of the EMS in these programs.
This role is based at Brisbane CBD or RAAF Base Williamtown, Newcastle.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage improvements, new business requirements and corrective actions to the EMS
  • Manage configuration of the EMS for the program
  • Represent the program at EMS Change Control Board (ECCB) and assess and report impacts of changes on behalf of the program
  • Assist with the documentation of the program EMS and, where needed, facilitate workshops
  • Work closely with the program Chief Engineer and Engineering Leads to develop and maintain EMS processes
  • Work closely with the BDA EMS Practices and Processes Lead to ensure new requirements are incorporated into the program EMS
  • Assist with the production of training material for the implementation of new and updated EMS processes and guides
  • Manage program EMS authorities and accesses to systems in accordance with the BDA EMS requirements
  • Effectively interface with our internal and external customers to support the operation of the program EMS
  • Assist the program Chief Engineer in developing and gathering metrics to assess the overall health of the program EMS
  • Assist the program Chief Engineer and Engineering Manager in changes and updates to governing Engineering Plans

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a related industry
  • Experience using a Product Lifecycle Management system, electronic document management system, or similar
  • An Engineering degree or technical background is an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
