At Probe Group, we're powered by passion, driven by curiosity, enriched by a purpose to do it better. We work hard and love a good challenge (or multiple). With clients spanning across the Pacific, Asia and North America, we’re no stranger to thinking big and working with innovative minds to achieve great success. We are dedicated to doing things better than the day before, and our exponential growth is living proof that we have stayed true to this ethos. At Probe, expect to think differently, challenge the norm and find your purpose.
We’re now seeking a dynamic and commercially-minded HR leader to join our senior leadership team as Director, People Experience for Australia & New Zealand.
About the Role
As Director, People Experience, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery of our People Partnering, Employee Engagement, and Employment Relations functions. This is a critical leadership role designed to strengthen how we support and enable our workforce — ensuring that our people experience is tightly aligned with Probe CX’s performance, purpose, and growth.
You will report directly to the Chief People Officer and lead a team including the Head of People Consulting ANZ and the Employment Relations Manager. You’ll work in close partnership with Talent Acquisition, Organisational Development, Workforce, Compliance, and other key stakeholders to deliver integrated HR solutions and influence the direction of our employee lifecycle — from onboarding to engagement, retention, performance, and ER outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing
Strategic HR Leadership
Translate organisational strategy into practical people initiatives that drive culture, capability, and commercial results.
Act as a trusted advisor to the ELT and senior leaders across ANZ.
Apply people analytics and insights to guide decision-making and demonstrate impact.
Champion continuous improvement, bringing innovative thinking to evolve our People Experience model.
People Partnering
Lead the People Business Partner team to deliver impactful, campaign-aligned support and build trusted relationships across the business.
Ensure business partners are empowered to drive workforce outcomes, resolve issues effectively, and support leaders with tools and coaching.
Drive accountability for high performance, engagement, and adherence to core HR policies and processes.
Employee Engagement & Culture
Design and implement our employee engagement strategy, ensuring we capture employee voice and drive meaningful action.
Own the development and evolution of our listening programs, including eNPS, pulse surveys, and action planning frameworks.
Promote initiatives that support wellbeing, diversity, inclusion, and psychological safety across all levels of the organisation.
Employment Relations
Provide leadership and oversight of complex ER matters, including investigations, performance management, grievances, disputes, and policy compliance.
Work closely with external legal advisors, Fair Work bodies, and relevant unions to manage risk and uphold our reputation as a fair and ethical employer.
Review and enhance ER frameworks and policy settings to align with evolving legislation and business needs.
People Team Leadership
Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing People Experience team.
Set clear performance expectations, provide coaching and feedback, and foster a team culture of accountability, growth, and psychological safety.
Ensure your team is connected to broader business priorities and enabled to deliver with impact.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with leaders in Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, People Technology, and Compliance to ensure a cohesive and seamless employee experience.
Act as a senior conduit between People Experience and the business, ensuring alignment on key projects, systems, and transformation work.
Support the evolution of our Workday ecosystem and broader people technology strategy.
What You’ll Bring
You’re a seasoned and strategic HR leader with deep expertise in engagement, partnering, and ER — ideally within high-volume, fast-paced organisations.
You understand what it takes to lead people and culture strategies in environments that are complex, operationally intense, and constantly evolving — and you’re energised by that challenge.
Your experience will include:
10+ years of progressive HR experience, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles
A proven track record in leading high-performing people teams and delivering across business partnering, engagement, and ER
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to align HR strategy with business performance
A pragmatic, calm, and confident leadership style — especially in periods of change or ambiguity
Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at all levels
A strong understanding of HR policies, employment law, and risk frameworks
Experience in BPO, contact centres, or similar environments (highly desirable)
Exposure to Workday (preferred, but not essential)
Australian Citizenship required.
