A blended role of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, you’ll drive an integrated marketing and communications agenda, ensuring dentsu stands out as an innovative and impactful partner for our clients and employer of choice.

Whilst responsible for the strategy for the dentsu brand, you’ll also work across all our agency brands and client teams ensuring we go to market with a consistent and connected narrative. You’ll deliver innovative campaigns and experiences that build brand preference, generate pipeline, and engage our people. From thought leadership and industry events to internal engagement and employer branding, you’ll shape how and where dentsu shows up

This is a senior leadership role for someone who combines strategic vision with executional excellence. You’ll blend creativity, commercial acumen, and performance marketing expertise to champion dentsu’s values and foster a connected, collaborative culture.

Core responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the integrated marketing and growth strategy for dentsu ANZ, ensuring alignment with commercial priorities, long term strategic vision and future-fit business objectives.

  • Amplify dentsu’s profile in the market through high-impact campaigns, client engagement and partnership activation to showcase innovation, impact and leadership.

  • Seek out opportunities to proactively showcase our work, create client fame, and demonstrate the power of our connected capabilities.

  • Deliver brand campaigns across a variety of channels including digital, ABM, content, PR/media, experiential channels, events and internal platforms ensuring every touchpoint tells our story and creates an impact.

  • Partner with global and regional teams to localise initiatives and elevate ANZ’s contribution to the global brand ensuring internal teams are informed, engaged and aligned.

  • Ensure dentsu’s thought leadership stands out by creating distinctive, innovative content that differentiates our capabilities and subject matter experts.

  • Shape and protect dentsu’s reputation through a consistent GTM narrative for dentsu and our agency brands, ensuring brand governance while being bold and distinctive in tone.

  • Act as Product Owner for Salesforce and Pardot/Account Engagement across Australia and New Zealand, driving adoption, governance, data quality and change management.

  • Own the marketing lifecycle from visitor to MQL to SQL and opportunity, designing and executing campaigns that meet pipeline and revenue goals.

  • Build and maintain marketing automation workflows, nurture programmes, segmented lists and campaign assets (emails, landing pages, forms), and manage incoming digital enquiries end-to-end.

  • Partner with internal teams to provide clear insights on how to manage leads and opportunities more effectively.

  • Manage and optimise the marketing and communications budget to maximise ROI and business impact supporting both external campaigns and internal engagement initiatives.

  • Lead a small Marketing and Communications team and build a culture that fosters creativity, proactiveness and a growth mindset – rooted in collaboration and fun.

A bit about you:

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing or media, ideally within complex, matrixed or agency-led organisations.

  • Proven track record in developing and executing integrated growth marketing, brand and communications strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes across the full funnel.

  • Strong skills in brand storytelling, thought leadership, and translating insights and innovation into compelling narratives.

  • Expertise in growth and performance marketing, including full-funnel campaign management and optimization against key metrics (CAC, LTV, MQL, SQL).

  • Strong proficiency in marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Pardot, HubSpot, Marketo, Prospector), including lead nurturing, scoring, and lifecycle management.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and influence multiple stakeholders, including senior leaders and cross-functional teams, in global and regional contexts.

  • A hands-on leader: Combines strategic vision with willingness to roll up sleeves and execute.

What’s in it for you:

  • Real flexibility to work when and where you feel most productive with our ‘Be the Best You’ policy which includes a $250 contribution to your home office set up.

  • The opportunity to give back with dedicated volunteer leave and our whole-company event, One Day for Change.

  • 5 weeks annual leave after 2 years of service and 3 whole company Wellness days off per year for you to switch off and take your day, your way.

  • Career Development and Learning & Development opportunities, including access to our global online dentsu University.

Become a champion for meaningful progress:

Our diverse and inclusive culture enables our employees to bring their whole selves to work and be proud of doing so. For us, this is the foundation for great innovation which, in turn, generates better outcomes for our people, partners and communities. This is why we encourage applications from people with disabilities, and of all ages, nationalities, backgrounds and cultures.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
