About ROLLER

ROLLER isn't your average SaaS company. We operate globally across 30+ countries, powering millions of real-world experiences in the leisure and attractions industry. What we build doesn't just live on a screen. It shows up in busy venues, peak weekends, and unforgettable moments for guests.

Our mission is simple but ambitious: help operators run better businesses while creating great guest experiences. That means solving complex, real-world problems across ticketing, point of sale, self-service, memberships, kiosks, and digital waivers, all at meaningful scale.

Just as importantly, it's the people. We're a team of 300+ smart, grounded, and genuinely passionate humans working across the globe. We care about quality, ownership, and doing work we're proud of, without taking ourselves too seriously.

We're growing fast, aiming high, and building something that matters. If you want to work on real problems, with real customers, alongside people who care deeply about their craft and impact, ROLLER is a great place to do it.

Why You'll Enjoy This Role!

  • 🚀 Shape how thousands of attraction operators discover, understand, and choose ROLLER
  • 🤝 Partner closely with Corporate Marketing, Product Marketing, and Demand Generation leaders to build one integrated content engine
  • 🌍 Build and direct a global network of contributors, from executives and employees to customers, operators, and industry creators
  • Own a high-visibility, high-autonomy mandate that blends editorial strategy, organic social growth, and AI-enabled production

Why You Want To Work With Us!

  • 🩷 Loved by Customers - ROLLER is consistently highly rated on Capterra and G2, and trusted by leading operators worldwide. That doesn't happen by accident. Customer obsession isn't a value on a wall here, it's embedded in how we prioritise, build, and measure success.
  • 🏆 A Great Place People Choose to Stay - We've been Great Place to Work certified across multiple regions for several years running. That reflects a culture that values trust, autonomy, and growth, and an environment where high standards and psychological safety coexist. ROLLER ranks in the top 5% of sales organisations to work for on RepVue!
  • 💸 Competitive Package & Real Career Growth - We offer competitive compensation and benefits aligned to the level of ownership we expect. As ROLLER scales, so do the opportunities. People grow here by taking on bigger problems, broader scope, and greater responsibility. Progression is driven by impact and capability, not tenure, and strong performance is recognised and rewarded.

Why This Role Matters

Attraction operators don't move through a single moment of discovery. They move through a journey, from first realising they have a problem to becoming confident, informed buyers. ROLLER's content today is capable, but it isn't yet operating as one connected system. The Director of Editorial & Social Strategy will change that: designing the editorial operating system that ensures the right operator hears the right story, from the right voice, at the right stage of their journey. This is a strategy and orchestration role, not a content-production role. Success means building a system, and a network of contributors, that consistently earns attention and drives commercial outcomes, without the Director personally creating every piece of content.

What You'll Do

  • Align with Corporate Marketing, Demand Generation, and Product Marketing on messaging, audience needs, and content priorities across the buyer journey.
  • Define the audiences, topics, narratives, and content pillars ROLLER should prioritize.
  • Own ROLLER's organic social strategy, driving relevant follower growth, engagement, and audience learning.
  • Serve as the expert on content performance, emerging formats, platform trends, and the mechanics of earning and holding attention.
  • Run the integrated editorial calendar and production engine across social-native content, recurring series, customer stories, educational content, and premium productions.
  • Build a scalable contributor and production model using executives, employees, customers, evangelists, industry experts, AI, agencies, freelancers, and external specialists.
  • Work with customers, operators, and industry experts to ensure content is credible, useful, and grounded in real experience.
  • Enable company evangelists to create and distribute content through their personal channels.
  • Use social, web, conversion, and commercial data to determine which topics, voices, formats, and programs to scale, refine, or stop.
  • Ensure content is matched to the appropriate stage of the buyer journey and connected to clear brand and business outcomes.

About You

  • You have a high appetite for Technology and AI and a natural curiosity for how it can transform your work. You're comfortable using AI tools to automate repetitive 'busy work,' freeing you up to focus on high-impact work.
  • Strong editorial judgment and a clear instinct for the topics, perspectives, and stories that will matter to attraction operators.
  • A deep understanding of how hooks, narrative structure, tension, pacing, and emotional connection earn and sustain attention.
  • A strong understanding of the buyer journey, from unaware and problem-aware through solution-aware, product-aware, and ready to buy.
  • Experience building audience-led editorial and organic social strategies tied to business goals.
  • The ability to design and manage an integrated editorial system across multiple formats, channels, and contributors.
  • Proven experience developing executives, employees, customers, creators, and subject-matter experts into effective contributors.
  • Strong experience using organic social media to grow an audience and understand what that audience values.
  • Strong analytical curiosity, with experience using social, web, conversion, and commercial data to guide decisions.
  • The ability to build scalable content operations using clear processes, AI-enabled workflows, agencies, freelancers, and specialists.
  • Strong creative direction and cross-functional leadership, with the confidence to shape ideas, raise quality, scale what works, and stop what does not.

We believe AI is a career-defining inflection point. ROLLER is a fast adopter of new technology like AI, and every team member is empowered to own their learning and use the latest tools to supercharge their impact. We're looking for candidates with the proficiency and curiosity to embrace AI and technology, not just as a technical skill, but as a core competency to help us achieve big goals.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
